I'm not quite ready to plunk down a best-of-the-year list, but the following CDs are certain to appear on it: GVSU's Music for 18 Musicians, Paavo Järvi's Beethoven symphonies, the astounding Teresa Stratas Salome DVD, and the Lorraine Hunt Lieberson Wigmore Hall recital.
