A quintet of fanfares to take away...

To mark Paavo Järvi's tenth and final season at the helm of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and also to commemorate radio station WGUC's 50th anniversary, a series of weekly downloads is being offered. Five fanfares, premiered by the Cincinnati SO at Music Hall, the orchestra's home, between January and May, will be released weekly. First up (and now available) is Jonathan Bailey Holland's The Party Starter. This will be followed by Jörg Widmann’s Souvenir bavarois (‘Remembering Bavaria’), Stewart Goodyear’s Count Up, Charles Coleman’s PJ Fanfare, and Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Fireflower.

The fanfares are available to download from the Cincinnati's SO website.
